(+1.7 miles from Cedar Glen Malt Shop)
A snow-free day AND I passed the 300 mile marker!!! I had an ankle deep water crossing first thing, before rejoining the PCT. After that, I stayed dry until the last mile of the day, at which point I had a waist-deep water crossing (which I would not have made had there been a strong current at that location, but thankfully there was not).
The trail followed Deep Creek for most of the day, and crossed via a sturdy bridge. Walking on these sandy ridges can be a little tricky, but I try to stay away from the outside edge of the trail where it can easily give way.
I passed by Deep Creek Hot Springs, a popular clothing-optional destination for day-hikers and weekenders.
