And just like that, I completed the Southern California Section of the Pacific Crest Trail! It is one of five sections, and this is my second time completing it! The next section is the challenging and snowy Sierra Nevada, followed by Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.
Finishing out the last 8 miles of the section was still a challenge, with forceful winds that were testing my patience and fortitude. The winds were so strong that they ripped my earbuds from my ears, caused every extra inch of strapping on my backpack to whip me, and slapped my trekking poles into my legs when I tried to use them for stability.
