The very last day in the desert, the day I passed 700 miles, and the day I arrived at Kennedy Meadows (again)!
Kennedy Meadows is a huge milestone for PCT hikers, and there are two main hangouts – the General Store and Grumpy Bear’s and both offer fresh food, resupply options, charging for devices, showers, and free camping. We have been seeing more and more hikers, probably due to our slow but steady pace and propensity for zero days.
Some hikers (I believe) are still waiting for additional snow to melt, but Bianca, Ollie and I are excited to head into the Sierra Nevada – the question isn’t are we ready for the mountains, but are the mountains ready for us?!
