Day 47 | Mile 717.7 – 733.3

It was so cold, I didn’t leave camp until almost 8:15 AM, but given the number of hikers that rolled in late, I was far from the last to leave! Other hikers said they had frost on their tent, and one unfortunately had their filter freeze.

Tearing myself away from the swallows and their nests, I began an 8 mile 2750′ climb. I slowly plodded along as I climbed to 10,400′.

After the climb, I hiked with Ollie & Bianca before we found some tent sites hidden away, with absolutely stunning views. It was so beautiful, that even after a day of hiking we walked around quite a bit to take in the views.

Oh, and I saw my first marmot of the year!

We were treated to yet another amazing sunset from the trail, in our secret tucked-away campsite. We settled in for another quiet and peaceful night together.
