Another spectacular day in Northern California!
I began the day in my full body bug suit, since the moment I stepped out of the van, I had mosquitos on me. The trail passed a hydroelectric plant and a fishery, and then through woods and fields still heavily peppered with exposed lava rock.
I met up with my tramily about 3/4 of the way through the day at Burney Falls Sate Park. It was a great recreation area, and even though the trail leading down to the falls was closed for maintenance, the views from the overlook were beautiful. Miraculously, there were very few mosquitos there or for the rest of the day!
The trail passed a lake and another hydroelectric plant, and finally a small waterfall just before camp, where we stopped to soak our feet.
