I got an easy quick 6 miles in before the afternoon showers. I enjoyed beautiful views of Morena Reservoir before descending down into Lake Morena County Park for the evening. We saw many other hikers camped out, making use of the quarter showers (which were either ice cold or burning hot), restrooms, and Malt Shop

Mile 259.4 – 266.1 I made it into town! I’m staying with a Trail Angel named Kenny, who just asks for donations for letting hikers sleep, shower, do laundry, and hangout. Mile 220.1 – 235.5 What a hot day, and my legs just felt like dead weight. The trail followed Mission Creek for most of the day, so fresh cold water was readily available! A good portion of the trail had been washed out, so much of the day was spent trail finding, and following cairns
