Mile 259.4 – 266.1 I made it into town! I’m staying with a Trail Angel named Kenny, who just asks for donations for letting hikers sleep, shower, do laundry, and hangout. He even gives rides to and from the trail, grocery, and post office. There’s about 8 other hikers here and it’s been… interesting so

Mile 235.5 – 248.7 About 7 people squeezed into my 3-tent campsite last night, and drama ensued. Another looooong water carry, but it wasn’t too hot and I found a stealth camping spot with phone service! Mile 220.1 – 235.5 What a hot day, and my legs just felt like dead weight. The trail followed Mission Creek for most of the day, so fresh cold water was readily available! A good portion of the trail had been washed out, so much of the day was spent trail finding, and following cairns

Mile 209.5 – 220.1 Welp, I didn’t leave town until mid-afternoon but I definitely filled up on some fresh food with Nips and Bullseye, and sent my microspikes home because NO MORE SNOW!!! Mile 190.5 – 209.5 Just a little more crappy snow, and then downhill the rest of the day. I was only going to do 15 miles to the next water source (it was so hot and exposed)… but then it was only four more miles to the next town… and I heard a couple hikers

Mile 179.4 – 190.5 (+3.5 mile side trail from town) Another crappy snow day full of post-holing, once the side trail connected to the PCT at 8000 ft. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is how I sustained my foot injuries last year, because hiking in the snow activates it rrrreally bad. Ate Mike

Mile 159.7 – 169.2 Breathtaking views and breathtaking climbs! I decided to camp right before Apache Peak, a section of trail known to be icy and treacherous, where a hiker passed away last year.
